The U.S. District Court for Central California delayed until 2015 the sentencing of Michael D. Drobot, who pleaded guilty to paying kickbacks and admitted to bribing a California state senator.
Drobot faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in April to one count of paying kickbacks to doctors who scheduled spinal fusions at his Pacific Hospital of Long Beach and one count of conspiracy to defraud a federal health care program.
Sentencing was scheduled for Dec. 12, but was continued until Oct. 2, 2015, upon a joint request from Drobot's attorneys and the U.S. Attorney...
