The New York Workers' Compensation Board has adopted new fee schedules that raise reimbursement rates for hospital emergency room services for the first time since 1995, and establish new fees for rural clinics and psychiatric hospitals.
The board also has made changes to several claims forms.
The board announced last week that it had adopted the changes after accepting public comments earlier this year. The changes to the fees took effect June 1, the board announced in a bulletin.
