Obernauer Replaces Shufro as Head of NYCOSH

Charlene Obernauer has been named executive director of the New York Committee on Occupational Safety and Health, replacing Joel Shufro, who cofounded the organization in 1978 and has served as executive director for most of its 35-year history.Obernauer, a native of Stony Brook, N.Y., has been an advocate and organizer for worker and immigrant rights.
