Board Adopts New Treatment Guides for Arm Injuries and Asthma

The New York State Workers' Compensation Board has finalized new medical treatment guidelines for hand, wrist and forearm injuries, and for work-related asthma. The guidelines, which take effect Jan. 1, include treatment for carpal tunnel syndrome and will replace the old carpal tunnel guidelines, the board said in a bulletin Thursday.
