San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu announced a $4.5 million settlement with gig staffing company WorkWhile that requires the company to pay restitution to thousands of delivery drivers in California. The City Attorney's Office sued WorkWhile for allegedly misclassifying employees as independent contractors.
