The California Senate unanimously passed a bill that would allow about 200 county park rangers to receive salary continuation benefits in lieu of temporary disability.
The Senate on Monday voted 37-0 to pass SB 1058, by Sen. Angelique Ashby, D-Sacramento.
The bill would declare that park rangers working for counties and special districts are eligible for benefits under Labor Code Section 4850.
