Frozen Pizza Maker Faces $172,000 in Fines for Worker Amputations, Other Violations

A Kansas frozen pizza company has been cited by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration after two of its employees suffered amputations on the job last year. Schwan’s Global Supply Chain, Inc. in Salina, Kansas, was cited for three repeated and four serious violations, as well as one other violation, for exposing its workers to amputations and other serious hazards, according to OSHA.
