Motion for Summary Judgment Filed Prior to Close of Discovery Wasn't Premature

A New York appellate court ruled that a worker should have been entitled to summary judgment on his Labor Law claim predicated on his fall from a ladder while working at a church, even though discovery in the case was not yet complete.  Case: Guaman v. Ansley & Co., No. 16620 306555/11, 01/06/2016, published. Facts: Jorge Guaman allegedly fell from a ladder while working on a construction project at a property owned by the Deeper Life Bible Church.
