Hueso to Chair Labor Committee, Hearing Scheduled on SB 626

The California Senate Rules Committee unanimously approved a recommendation to name Ben Hueso as chairman of the Committee on Labor and Industrial Relations.Hueso, a Democrat from San Diego, will replace Bill Monning, D-Carmel, who served as chairman of the labor committee in 2013 and was officially named chairman of the Senate Insurance Committee on Wednesday.Monning will fill the vacancy on the Insurance Committee that was created when Sen.
