The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court ruled Tuesday ruled that a 21-year old worker was within the course of her employment when she lost her leg in an accident in an airport ground support vehicle while she was retrieving some personal belongings from her mother. Modesty Colquitt had worked as a "ramp agent" at Pittsburgh International Airport. Her job entailed driving a "tug," the cart-like vehicle used to transport luggage to airplanes on the tarmac.
