Health Training Institute Agrees to Pay $30,000 Fine

The Atlanta Health Careers Institute has agreed to pay a $30,000 fine to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration to resolve allegations that the training institute failed to properly train employees in the bloodborne pathogen program and failed to make the Hepatitis B vaccine available to workers exposed to pathogen hazards.The Atlanta Business Chronicle reported that the company will pay less than half of the $62,000 in fines recommended by OSHA following an inspection last May."This matter has been corrected − all employees will receive OSHA training and be offered the H...
