TDI Posts Draft Rules on PEOs Sponsoring Self-Funded Plans

The Texas Department of Insurance has posted an informal draft of rules to regulate professional employer organizations sponsoring self-funded employee benefit plans. If eventually enacted, the informal rules would comprise a new subchapter F in Title 28, Part 1, Chapter 13 of the Texas Administrative Code. The rules have been prepared in order to implement Senate Bill 1286 from the 2013 legislative session.
