Dr. Robert W. Hunt, one of Southern California's best-known hand surgeons and a longtime prominent practitioner in the workers' compensation arena, died Friday at age 71. As medical director of Intercommunity Medical Group in Torrance, Hunt trained many other orthopedic surgeons in the complexities of treating injured workers.
