NCCI Proposes to Revise Hazardous Material Classifications

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that the National Council on Compensation Insurance filed proposed revisions to the classifications related to hazardous material remediation services. The filing would revise hazardous material remediation classifications for asbestos, mold and lead paint in the NCCI Basic Manual for Workers’ Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance. The DWC said it would also revise phraseologies for employees of construction companies to provide janitorial-type services.
