While workers’ compensation wasn’t among the top three concerns for California employers who responded to a Workers’ Compensation Action Network survey, more than half of respondents said the system performs poorly.
The three most commonly cited concerns among respondents were compliance with labor laws and mandates, providing competitive pay and benefits, and recruiting and hiring employees. Workers’ compensation slotted in as the fourth most common concern, just ahead of employee retention and employee-related litigation.
