A Dollar General store in Vaiden was slapped with citations for five federal safety violations after inspectors found emergency exits and fire extinguishers were blocked.
In addition, the employer failed to inspect fire extinguishers annually and didn’t keep the area around electrical outlets clear, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Missing faceplates on electrical outlets created an electrical hazard for employees, the agency said.
