The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has struck down a standard for workplace safety that the Arizona Legislature put in place with a bill in 2012.
OSHA rejected Arizona's standards for "residential fall protection," which apply to people working at heights of 6 feet or greater, on Friday. Though such rules usually come from federal OSHA or state-run OSHA plans, the Arizona Legislature put the standard in place with Senate Bill 1441 in 2012.
