Man Pleads Guilty, Must Repay BWC for Lapsed WC

An Ohio man charged with three counts of failing to obtain workers' compensation insurance pleaded guilty this week.

Rodney Ashcraft, 60, of Findlay, Ohio, must repay the state-run Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation more $55,000. He's already paid $5,500 of that, according to a local news report.

Ashcraft was sentenced to the restitution and a diversion program. If he completes the program, a conviction will not show on his record, the report said.

Ashcraft committed the fraud between 2015 and June 2018, according to a Hancock County grand jury. No details about the nature of the alleged crime were available.
