Lyrica, a non-opioid drug used to treat pain and one of the top workers’ comp medications in terms of drug spend is now available as a generic.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday announced it had granted approvals for generic versions of Lyrica to nine companies: Alembic Pharmaceuticals; Alkem Laboratories; Amneal Pharmaceuticals; Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories; InvaGen Pharmaceuticals; MSN Laboratories Ltd.; Rising Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; Sciegen Pharmaceuticals Inc.; and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
