The conviction of a Pennsylvania man who owned chiropractor clinics in West Virginia resulted in the collection of more than $333,000 by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of West Virginia during fiscal year 2014, the office announced in a release.
Joseph J. Yurigan, of New Alexandria, Pennsylvania, was convicted last year of submitting fraudulent Medicare and Medicaid claims and sentenced to 18 months in federal prison. Yurigan filed false claims with both health insurance and workers’ compensation carriers for services he did not render.
