The former owner of the Boulder-based Banjo Billy's Bus Tours must pay back wages, interest and damages to an employee he allegedly terminated for refusing to drive an unsafe bus, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration found.
OSHA accused John Georgis of violating his employee's rights under the Surface Transportation Assistance Act, which protects workers who raise concerns about commercial motor vehicle safety.
Georgis must pay the former employee $11,000 and expunge his record of any reference to the termination, OSHA ordered.
