House OKs Bill Requiring Worker Notice of Provider Choice

The Texas House of Representatives passed a bill that would require injured workers to be informed of their right to choose a treating doctor in workers’ compensation claims. The House on Thursday voted 82-58 to pass HB 741, by Rep. Yvonne Davis, D-Dallas, which would require choice of provider information be added to notices that are sent to injured workers.
