Laundry Company Fined After Workers Rendered Unconscious

A commercial laundry company in Paterson has been cited by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration after four of its workers were hospitalized after being exposed to carbon monoxide. Purrfect Enterprises Inc. faces fines of $51,000 for 23 safety violations as a result of the December 2015 inspection following the incident when the workers were rendered unconscious after the sudden release of the fumes from a chimney at the facility.
