DWC Proposes Updating Mental Health Guidelines

The California Division of Workers' Compensation is proposing to update guidelines outlining the reasonable and necessary medical treatment for mental health injuries. The division is proposing to adopt the latest version of the Workplace Mental Health Guidelines that the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine updated on Oct. 1. The Medical Treatment Utilization Schedule currently refers to the ACOEM guidelines for mental health that were published in March 2019.
