The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation says it will increase safety grants by $15 million per year over the next two years, bringing total grant funding to $70 million.
The BWC's board of directors approved the additional funds at its monthly meeting Friday, the bureau said in a bulletin. The grants have proven very popular, and the $20 million set aside for this year already has been divvied up.
“The demand from Ohio employers for these grants has been tremendous,” said BWC Administrator/CEO Stephanie McCloud.
