Poor performance at a handful of shops handling California workers' compesnation claims resulted in the largest penalty assessment since the Profile Audit Review process started more than a decade ago.
The Division of Workers' Compensation fined seven claims shops a total of $1.795 million in 2014, according to an audit report released Jan. 26.
