The Workers Compensation Research Institute is holding a webinar on Jan. 11 to discuss its report on the median number of days from injury to first medical service that was released earlier this year.
The report found little variation in the time it took for injured workers to receive initial services such as office visits or treatment in an emergency department. However, the time to first surgery and for physical medicine varied considerably across the 17 states included in the study, as well as injury category and provider type.
