Ross Campesi Sr., founder of LCTA Workers’ Comp, has died, the company reported on Tuesday.
Campesi, who was 90, died at home on May 7.
Campesi established the Louisiana Commerce & Trade Association, or LCTA, in 1990 in an effort to fill the need for workers’ compensation insurance at a time when few options were available, LCTA said.
The company became the largest self-insurance fund in Louisiana before it converted to a casualty insurance company this year.
