LCTA Workers' Comp Founder Ross Campesi Dies

Ross Campesi Sr., founder of LCTA Workers’ Comp, has died, the company reported on Tuesday. Campesi, who was 90, died at home on May 7. Campesi established the Louisiana Commerce & Trade Association, or LCTA, in 1990 in an effort to fill the need for workers’ compensation insurance at a time when few options were available, LCTA said. The company became the largest self-insurance fund in Louisiana before it converted to a casualty insurance company this year.
