If you're working during the pandemic, it's best to be toiling away in Washington state, New Jersey, California or Massachusetts, says a new ranking that examined worker protections and support, including workers' comp COVID-19 presumption measures.
The worst state for employees was Alabama, followed by Missouri, Georgia, Wyoming and Mississippi, according to the report by OxFam, an international anti-poverty group.
“These low rankings were due to a confluence of factors that created a perfect storm of neglect in the face of a global pandemic,” the organization noted....
