Alabama Worst, Washington State Best for Workers During Pandemic, OxFam Says

If you're working during the pandemic, it's best to be toiling away in Washington state, New Jersey, California or Massachusetts, says a new ranking that examined worker protections and support, including workers' comp COVID-19 presumption measures. The worst state for employees was Alabama, followed by Missouri, Georgia, Wyoming and Mississippi, according to the report by OxFam, an international anti-poverty group. “These low rankings were due to a confluence of factors that created a perfect storm of neglect in the face of a global pandemic,” the organization noted....
