OSHA Cites Grand Rock after Amputation

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Grand Rock Co. Inc. of Painesville, Ohio, for one willful and one serious safety violation after a worker had four fingers amputated in June. The employee had been operating an unguarded machine that bends tubes for auto exhaust systems at the company’s parts-manufacturing plant.OSHA has proposed penalties of $52,500.
