Regional Safety Summit Scheduled

The Division of Workers’ Compensation is hosting a regional workplace summit on Aug. 12 in Austin at the Holiday Inn Austin-Town Lake.  Discussions at the summit will be centered around helping employers learn how to avoid common workplace injuries and comply with federal safety requirements. Other topics will cover the components of an effective accident prevention program, the latest information on safe work areas, construction requirements for exit routes and how to develop an effective emergency action plan.  The workshop will be held from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. and costs $...
