The owner of a Florida construction company is being charged with workers’ compensation fraud after the state’s Department of Financial Services found that he provided false information by drastically deflating his company’s payroll costs, according to the department’s Division of Insurance Fraud.
Juan C. Garcia, owner of Construction Forever, LLC, claimed less than $150,000 in payroll costs, but an investigation exposed Garcia's company payroll being closer to $2 million, the department said.
