The Texas Department of Insurance has adopted amendments to the Texas Administrative Code addressing assessments in 2015 to cover the expenses of examining domestic and foreign insurance companies and self-insurance groups that provide workers’ compensation insurance, the department announced.
TDI said in its reasoned justification for the amendments that the department’s revenue need for 2015 is determined by calculating the department’s total cost need minus funds resulting from fee revenue and funds remaining from fiscal year 2014.
