State Chamber Petitions to Intervene in Reform Challenge

The Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce has filed a motion to intervene in a lawsuit that challenges the constitutionality of the sweeping reform bill signed into law by Gov. Mary Fallin in May.The Tulsa Regional Chamber and the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber joined the state Chamber in the petition to the Oklahoma Supreme Court.“The reforms and restructuring of Oklahoma’s workers’ compensation system that were passed this past legislative session need to be defended,” stated Fred Morgan, president and chief executive officer of the State Chamber, in a prepared statement. &ldqu...
