The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration has extended until Oct. 28 the comment period for a proposed rule pertaining to employers’ record-keeping requirements in cases of worker illness or injury.
The proposed rule would add no new compliance obligations, according to the agency. Instead, it would clarify that an employers’ obligation to keep the records does not expire just because they didn’t create the necessary records when first required to do so.
