Michele Andrea Bertoldi, 48, was released Sunday on $5,000 bond from the Leon County Detention Center, WTXL-TV reported.

Bertoldi admitted to an investigator with the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) that he knew his workers’ compensation policy had lapsed and that he had committed the same offense in January 2014, the station reported.

He knowingly placed “his employees’ health, safety, and welfare in danger and knowingly committed insurance fraud by failing to secure workers’ compensation insurance,” a DFS investigator said in court documents obtained by WTXL.
