Gov. Gavin Newsom and California legislative leaders should reopen the State Capitol to the public next week because of loosened COVID-19 safety guidelines, a coalition of state lawmakers said.
According to The Sacramento Bee, the bipartisan group wrote a letter to Senate President Pro Tem Toni Atkins, D-San Diego; Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon, D-Lakewood; and Newsom, asking them to allow more public access to the building by Wednesday.
