Massachusetts' Workers' Compensation Rating & Inspection Bureau announced the rates at which it will assess private carriers and self-insureds to support the state Department of Industrial Accidents.
Private carriers will be assessed 5.6% of the standard workers' compensation premium, down from last year's rate of 5.75%, and self-insureds will be assessed at a rate of 5.31%, which has remained constant from last year.
The rates apply to all policies starting July 1.
