A doctor was ordered to pay nearly $71,000 in restitution for “upcoding” patient office visits, according to the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.
Dr. Kedar Deshpande on April 15 was ordered to pay the BWC $70,957 following his conviction on charges of unlawful distribution of controlled substances and false statements relating to health care matters.
