Two DIA Legal Officers Win Promotions

Karen Fabiszewski, an assistant general counsel since 2001, has been appointed as director of the Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation Trust Fund, the Department of Industrial Accidents announced.The DIA said Fabiszewski has represented the agency and the trust fund in various functions, including serving as acting assessment manager and administrative law attorney. She replaces Yvonne Vieira-Cardoza, who is now an administrative judge. The DIA also said John D. Riordan had been promoted to deputy general counsel.
