The new workers’ compensation review contractor that started work for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in March is taking longer to review Medicare set-aside submissions, a company that provides MSA services said.
But the new contractor is doing better at using current fee schedules than the previous contractor, which sometimes used fee schedules as much as seven years out of date, according to Tower MSA Partners.
Capitol Bridge took over as CMS’ workers’ compensation review contractor, or WCRC, on March 16. The previous contractor was Provider Resources.
