Oil Driller Cited for Repeat Safety Violations

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Ensign United States Drilling, headquartered in Dallas, for two repeat safety violations for exposing workers to possible hazards during oil well explosions, OSHA announced in a release. Proposed penalties for the repeat violations total $65,000. Ensign was cited for failing to correct deficiencies found during a November 2011 investigation.
