WCAB Proposes Permanent Remote Hearing Rules, Meet-and-Confer Requirement for SIBTF Claims

The California Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board proposed rules that would formalize processes for the remote hearings, electronic filing and electronic service developed during the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of the rulemaking, the WCAB is also proposing a meet-and-confer process for Subsequent Injuries Benefits Trust Fund claims to promote efficiency.
