California lawmakers passed bills to discount time spent resolving medical treatment disputes from the aggregate cap on temporary disability benefits, expand post-traumatic stress disorder and skin cancer presumptions and preserve the PTSD presumption for four additional years.
The Senate voted 30-9 to pass AB 1213, by Assemblymember Liz Ortega, D-Hayward, which addresses how time spent appealing utilization review decisions applies to the 104-week cap on TD benefits.
