A move by President Trump to limit what Medicare pays for drugs could translate to lower medication costs for workers' compensation carriers and self-insurers — if it survives expected litigation and a new presidential administration, experts said. The Trump administration said it is finally moving ahead with rules, as soon as this week, that would tie some of Medicare's payments to lower prices paid in other countries, shaving as much as 30% off what Medicare now pays for pharmaceuticals, according to news reports.
