A New Jersey doctor pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiring to violate federal anti-kickback laws as part of a scheme that involved prescribing pain creams to U.S. Postal Service employees who were allegedly injured on the job.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for New Jersey said Mark A. Filippone, 72, also submitted forms and medical reports to the federal Office of Workers’ Compensation Program claiming workers were disabled when they were not.
Filippone admitted to conspiring with three other people as part of the conspiracy. Zachary Ohebshalom, 34, of Fort Lee, already pleaded guilty...
