Employers Holdings on Thursday reported net income of $47.6 million during the third quarter, more than double the $21.9 million in profits reported for the same period last year.
For the first nine months of the year, net income was $115.7 million, up 66% from $69.9 million in the prior-year quarter, the Reno, Nevada-based carrier said.
Gross written premiums increased to $189.2 million during the quarter, from $179.2 million for the same period last year.
