Former Hartford CEO Dies after Battle with Cancer

Liam McGee, the former chairman and chief executive officer of The Hartford, died of cancer on Friday. McGee served as the insurance giant's CEO from October 2009 to July 2014, according to a Monday press release. He took control of the company in the aftermath of an international financial crisis and, according to Fortune Magazine, helped bring The Hartford back from the brink of economic collapse.
