House Passes Bills to Allow Direct Deposit, Boost Benefits for Permanent Disfigurement

The Pennsylvania state House of Representatives passed bills that will eventually require insurers and employers to pay benefits via direct deposit and will expand the range of injuries and amount of benefits paid for serious and permanent disfigurement injuries. The House on Tuesday voted 112-88 to pass HB 930, which would increase the number of compensable weeks for permanent disfigurement injuries to 400 from 275.
