Montana’s Labor Management Advisory Council will discuss the 2019 workers’ compensation annual report as well as rules that would require certification of claims examiners, during a meeting Tuesday.
A law that took effect July 1 made mandatory the formerly voluntary certification process for claims examiners. Those who were working as examiners at the start of 2019 have a 12-month grace period to take the exam and become certified.
